KOTD - WD2 - Pat Stay vs Marvwon

I thought it was funny that Pat Stay got Pat Stayed in the 3rd. Being interrupted by calling another rapper out who was not involved. I gave the battle to MarvWon. I agree with with Soul's perspective on it. Marv's verses were tailor made for Pat Stay. Pat's first verse was tailored for Marv but his 2nd and 3rd lacked direct punch. O.Freeman The Stoned Show

Dizaster (U.S.A.) vs Truth (England) PunchOutBattles

Truth had better bars but his delivery was not there. Dizaster has great delivery and average bars. Overall Dizaster's delivery gives him the win. O.Freeman

What's Good Wednesdays

Last Wednesday was off the hook. To see one of my top M.C.'s on stage spinning the realness was definitely cool. I got to speak to him and ask him for a bit of advice from one man on the mic to another. That alone was worth the trip to the What's Good Wednesdays and the music was great. The tracks and artists that I remember like Grand Puba, Leaders Of The New School, EPMD and joints "I Got To Have It", "Born To Roll" "Scenario" and a bunch more from the "era of terror". To quote Def Rock. If you have the time this Wednesday check out What's Good with Akrobatik and Clashious Clay. What's Good Wednesdays Wednesday, July 18 at 10:00pm at Milly's Tavern O.Freeman

SMACK/ URL PRESENTS PROVING GROUNDS: DANJA ZONE VS CASH EATIN

Hearing this battle lets me know that there is definitely a difference between the Proving Grounds and The URLTV Main stage. This battle could have taken place in the parking lot before the actual gig. Both were lacking in delivery. Their verses were forgettable and punches lacked punch. I hope they stay involved and level up in the game. I didn't bother to choose who won because they both were clearly not ready to battle. Respect URLTV. O.Freeman

SMACK/ URL PRESENTS X-FACTOR VS AYEVERB

I watched this battle 3 times because these two M.C's were not really on my radar like that. I knew of them. X-Factor gets the win in my book. Ayeverb is tight but on this occasion he was bested by X-Factor. When your from the same crew (The Midwest Movement) tactic's like the ones used by X-Factor. His bars were created to turn the movement against Verb. It seemed like the movement filled the room and it worked. Big shouts to Ayeverb, X-Factor and Smack for keeping hip hop alive. Peace, Chicken Grease. O.Freeman

What's Good Wednesdays!!

What!?!? What's Good Wednesdays is going to be crazy. Finally, something to do with my Wednesdays other than go down to the local watering hole. Manchester New Hampshire is not far from Boston at all for some good shit to groove out too. Dj Clashious Clay and Dj Akrobatik? I did not know Akrobatik was a Dj. I thought he was an M.C./Pro Am Football Player. I love Hip Hop in case you missed it. Two cat's steeped in Boston Hip Hop music from the gate team up to put on a showcase of history through a world class sound system. Milly's Tavern has been around for quite some time and has a great relationship with the live music scene and the scene is growing. I will be there with a few friends. I know good Hip Hop is in the building when you see a name like Akrobatik on the bill and Clashious Clay is no slouch. The weekend had finally come early. What's Good Wednesdays is the new jump off! M-Phatik Soundz feat J-LOVE - On The Verge

Charlamagne Tha God explains Busta Rhymes beef

The first time I heard the story it was from Hot 97. They pulled a Fox News. It was pretty bad. I don't think they like Charlamagne Tha God that much over at Fox 97. Listening to the rant's that they would go on were like listening to kids name call with no truth involved. Hot 97, you know you ain't right for pulling that maneuver. I hope an apology will follow this gross representation of the facts. Either-who, thank you for taking the time to get down on The Stoned Show. Peace, chicken grease. O.Freeman

Grind Time Now presents: Nocando vs Dizaster (1 week preparation)

Grind Time Now presents: Nocando vs Dizaster. This battle was a close one. Bar for bar, I gave the battle to Nocando. Delivery goes to Dizaster. So who won? I thought Dizaster's performance made up for a lot. His bar's were in no way better than Nocando's, but Nocando's delivery took him out of the winner's circle. Diz get's the win for this battle. Let me know what you think. O.Freeman

DON'T FLOP | WebHam | TONY D

URL PRESENTS MURDA MOOK VS SERIUS JONES HQ [ FULL BATTLE] "CLASSICS"

This is definitely a classic. Serius Jones vs Murda Mook. For the record speaking when your not the one rapping, is just poor sportsmanship. I would give it to Mook if it weren't already obvious that he destroyed Serius Jones. Enjoy. O.Freeman

‪DON'T FLOP - ‬Rap Battle - Illmaculate Vs Tony D

KOTD - Rap Battle - Arsonal vs Illmaculate

I heard rumors that this battle did not take place because Illmaculate was too inebriated to compete. This was a tight battle. Arsonal vs Illmaculate. I gave it to Arsonal not because Ill was choking in the 3rd but because his bars were solid and his delivery was vintage. I do give Illmaculate props for free styling most of his material. Unfortunately this wasn't a freestyle contest. A big shout goes out to King Of The Dot for doing their part to keep hip hop alive. O.Freeman

SUMMER MADNESS 2 | Return Of The Legends : The Warm Up

This should be a great event. Ed Lover, this one's for you, C'mon Son. Murda Mook vs Iron Solomon, T-Rex vs Aye-Verb, E Ness vs DNA, Serius Jones vs Charlie Clips, Calicoe vs Loaded Lux. August 19 2012 Webster Hall New York. I'm excited about the line up. My only hope is that all of the artists come prepared. We will try and send someone down to NY to cover he action or face the possibility of waiting month's and several more month's before URLTV post's the battles. It's good to see hip hop all grown up. Just moved out and got it's own place. It's also good to see the peaceful competition's continue. These lad's are out to hurt each other emotionally and to push all kinds of buttons. You can't have thin skin if you plan to win in this war of words. My hat's off to all of the competitor's as well as battle rapper's from all the battle leagues. It should be an amazing event. From the Wax Museum, yours faithfully O.Freeman

KOTD - Rap Battle - DNA vs Eurgh

Great battle. DNA vs Eurgh. I dug everything about this battle. I gave it to DNA. He has got to be one of the best freestyle-rs on the battle rap circuit. Eurgh is the pres of Don't Flop who as you can see isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Unsuccessful in my opinion but he held his ground. Overall a better day for DNA. Thank you the reader. O.Freeman
